Engaged: Hannah + Matt | Portland, Oregon
Ooooh how I love these two! I first met Hannah a few months ago, and then had a second meeting with her and Matt. These two are HUGE Star Wars fans, so it’s not wonder we immediately hit it off — and when I suggested they bring a few bits of Star Wars memorabilia to their session, they were all about it.
Bonus points/extra love: whenever I would tell the two of them to relax or “just love each other” they’d high five, dance, or do both. I can’t WAIT until their wedding this September!
Engaged + Family: Jamie, Cameron and Goosie | Lewis & Clark College + downtown Portland
EEE! Jamie and Cameron brought along their son (who they have called Goosie since Jamie was pregnant — it’s not his real name) to their engagement session, which made for a really sweet combination of photos. I loved hanging out with these three! They brought a lot of happiness and enthusiasm to the day, and made me even more excited for their wedding later this year. I included a photo I took of Cameron posing on a tree at Lewis & Clark because I love the back story: his grandmother has a photo of his dad similarly posed at the same spot. Hiiiiiistory!
Jamie and Cameron met while playing a zombie video game, and brought their love for all things zombie into the photos — you’ll notice that even Goosie has a zombie Care Bear shirt! These guys also have awesome Marriage Equality bracelets (you can get them here) in the shots.
Engaged: Kinsey + Gary | Sauvie Island, Cathedral Park | Portland, Oregon
I posted a peek of Kinsey and Gary’s session yesterday — since I finished up the editing last night, I figured today would be perfect for sharing. These two are getting married later this year in Portland, and as they told me this weekend, the reception will include a dessert bar.. so I’m pumped about that!
Kickin’ it with cousins: a family photo session | Rockaway Beach, Oregon photography
Do you guys remember these two cuties?! They flew out with their families from Colorado to Oregon to spend a few days at Rockaway Beach, and I was asked to come along to capture some of the fun. These two are adorable, and they have the best set of parents and grand-parents — not to mention two super stylish outfits!
Real Love: Frank + Benjamin | Seattle, Washington
I was lucky enough to get to hang out with Frank and Benjamin a few weeks ago to shoot their “engagement” session in Seattle. I use the word engagement in quotation marks because these two have been partners for twenty-two years — and fathers for 12. The pair of lovebirds brought along their son, Cale, and both family and couple magic was made! I’m really looking forward to their wedding day in July, and here’s a little hint of what that day will bring: think an Italian-Chinese wedding at the Nordic Museum!
