Engaged: Hannah + Matt | Portland, Oregon
Ooooh how I love these two! I first met Hannah a few months ago, and then had a second meeting with her and Matt. These two are HUGE Star Wars fans, so it’s not wonder we immediately hit it off — and when I suggested they bring a few bits of Star Wars memorabilia to their session, they were all about it.
Bonus points/extra love: whenever I would tell the two of them to relax or “just love each other” they’d high five, dance, or do both. I can’t WAIT until their wedding this September!
Engaged + Family: Jamie, Cameron and Goosie | Lewis & Clark College + downtown Portland
EEE! Jamie and Cameron brought along their son (who they have called Goosie since Jamie was pregnant — it’s not his real name) to their engagement session, which made for a really sweet combination of photos. I loved hanging out with these three! They brought a lot of happiness and enthusiasm to the day, and made me even more excited for their wedding later this year. I included a photo I took of Cameron posing on a tree at Lewis & Clark because I love the back story: his grandmother has a photo of his dad similarly posed at the same spot. Hiiiiiistory!
Jamie and Cameron met while playing a zombie video game, and brought their love for all things zombie into the photos — you’ll notice that even Goosie has a zombie Care Bear shirt! These guys also have awesome Marriage Equality bracelets (you can get them here) in the shots.

Engaged: Kinsey + Gary | Sauvie Island, Cathedral Park | Portland, Oregon
I posted a peek of Kinsey and Gary’s session yesterday — since I finished up the editing last night, I figured today would be perfect for sharing. These two are getting married later this year in Portland, and as they told me this weekend, the reception will include a dessert bar.. so I’m pumped about that!

Raina + Michelle’s Star Wars and Disney-themed graffiti-covered Seattle engagement
I spent this past weekend taking photos and having meetings in Seattle, and all I can say is: EEEEEEEEEEEEE! Sessions like this one with Raina and Michelle are a BIG part of that gleeful sound — between their Star Wars hoodies (I found the Boba Fett one right here on ThinkGeek!), t-shirts, and necklaces, I was in Star Wars geek HEAVEN. The pair also brought along the Mickey and Minne Mouse hats that were part of Michelle’s proposal.. I can’t wait to see what their wedding in July will be like!
Engaged: Staci + Jeff | Portland, Oregon photography
I knew I’d like Staci and Jeff when Staci suggested meeting at a coffee shop to discuss their wedding, which at the time was being planned TWO months before it was taking place — these two decided to bump up the date after mulling over a summer affair. I knew I’d LOVE these guys when they asked if they could bring their dog to their engagement session (yes!) and happily agreed to meet me at a spot my three-year-old lovingly refers to as the “river beach.”
Staci and Jeff have been together ten years and it totally shows in such a great way — they just get each other. I’m really excited to shoot their wedding in a few months.. until then, we have these:
